Limited edition of 5 worldwide. 4 editions remain.
From the series Mobile Poems: Poems for the Nintendo DS. Interactive poems hand coded by myself.
This poem is called 10 watts left. It is both a metaphor for the earth, for the human spirit and physical form. Are we all exhausted by the seemingly impossibility to counter powers, corporations and war mongers to elicit change? Eventually everything goes dark. This work explores the cyclical mood shift when darkness and burnout returns to one's existence.
Using the touch screen & stylus as interface – the lightbulb becomes darker and darker as the participant touches the bulb and the poem is displayed on the upper screen.
10 watts left

until the time that the sunshine comes
and moves me out of darkness
